Sweeter than Candy

I know that this blog is about me, but sometime's I just want to post sweet pictures I take, whether or not I am in them.

Note:

Sometimes, I will start posts but then save them for another day. The Post date will stay the same so when I finally post it has a later date. I haven't figured out how to change the date yet, so every once in a while, scroll down and see some mis-dated posts! Thanks!

GoodReads

Hi! Those who read my blog have probably seen the Good Books gadget to the left. Below it says, Goodreads. Goodreads is a fun book website where you can have a list of books you've read, are reading and want to read. You can rate and reiew books, make list of books, take quizes, find quotes, connect with friends to see what they are reading, and much more! It is a really fun website. I enjoy it and I thought you might be interested. You may already have a goodreads account or may not. If you have or get one, let me know and we can connect!

Mystery

Today, being the 28th of January, Katelyn was laying on her back. Later I found Katelyn on her tummy. Now, Katelyn hasn't started rolling over yet( at least no one has seen her do it.) No one said they put her on her tummy(Laurel was strapped in her seat), so I'm pretty sure that she rolled over, but since no one is ABSOLUTELY sure, it is a mystery.

As my dad always says:

"It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma. " ~ Winston Churchill

Newest Reads

My Latest Reads are:

The Journal of Curious Letters(13th Reality #1) by James Dashner
- This was a cool and satisfying Sci-Fi book. I really enjoyed the plot and thought it turned out well. I saw the 2nd book alot in a Deseret Book cataloug and thought it looked quite interesting. But what do you have to do to read the 2nd books of a series? Read the 1st book! I enjoyed this book a lot so I recommend it to you!

The Duggars: 20 and Counting by Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar
- This was a really fun book to read. It is about the large family in Arkansas. They have a lot of fun stories and lessons packed into this thouroughly enjoyable book. I really recommend it.

Mom

I will Never ever take my mom for granted again! A couple days ago, mom was sick, so dad told her to rest all day. So I got to make the meals(dad spared me at dinner) and change diaper leaks, do the Laundry, entertain the little girls, and so forth. I hardly got any schoolwork done, and I was so glad the next day when mom was a little better and could help a bit. I am so grateful for my mom and all that she does for me. Mom's do so much for us kids and we just think it's normal. I LOVE YOU MOM!

Busy Bee

What I have been up to lately:

Pruning

Disney has a promotion that if you serve at some listed place, then everyone who helps gets a free pass to Disneyland. Our Family signed up(any one younger than 6 can't do it) to help prune at the San Jose Rose Garden. We were schedules to work from 9-12. There soooo many volunteers that it was more like 1-1 & 1/2 hours! We even saw some friend in our stake, the Anderson family(Mom works with Sis. Anderson in Bears, and Bro. Anderson is YM president). We had tons of fun, despit the chilly weather. And for a treat we had Jack-In-The-Box food for lunch. Yum! So later this year we will finally go to Disneyland(we have not been before)!

Sorry about how the picture turned out. It was taken on my dad's phone since we forgot our own camera.

Shoes

Ballet Shoes. Dancing Shoes. Theater Shoes. These books are not in a series, but all end in Shoes! I found that interesting. These are wonderful books by Noel Streatfeild that I enjoy reading.

Ballet Shoes

The stroy of Pauline, Pertova, and Posy Fossil. Their adventures with, boarders, The Children's Academy of Dancing and Stage Training, ballet, acting, and money tight situations. A Must Read! There is a movie, and I was pleased to find that the only thing changed was a detail that only altered the story a little(at least in my opinion).

Dancing Shoes

The Story of Rachel and her adopted sister when they go to live with their aunt Cora Wintle, the director of Mrs. Wintle's little Wonders. Hilary is a dancer, but Rachel cares for none of that. A delightful read.

Theater Shoes

The story of 3 orphaned siblings, Sorrel, Mark and Holly, go to live with their famous grandmother(actor). They attend The Children's Academy for Dancing and Stage Training.

Check them out, you might like them!

The Dastardly Doctor Devereaux

That is the play the youth in my stake are doing. Here is a link about the play's main plot and storyline. I am going to be Wendy March, the heroine of the story! I am very excited, except that I have 3 rehearsals a week!3-6hrs total! It's kind of crazy. The performances are going to be at the beginning of April. I am really excited to be in my first big acting play and have a lead part!

PS-I didn't know that I was that good!

The Inheritance Cycle

By Christopher Paolini

I LOVE these books! The are exciting, and full of adventure. They keep me holding my breath, and turning the pages every minute. I started these books a long time ago, but stopped because I thought they were boring. When I began again, It was way better. So far there are 3 books(one more coming!)
1-Eragon
2-Eldest
3-Brisingr

If you have not read these yet, I suggest you do.

By now, you should know that I am a fantasy geek!

Movie

Akeelah and the Bee

This is a great movie. It is about a black girl named Akeelah. She is really good at spelling, and she eventually makes it to Washington D.C. for the National Bee. My family really likes this movie.
