An author's thoughts on Nanowrimo

3 days till Nanowrimo. My plot is catching up with me. I'm still not fully planned. This will defiantly be an adventure.

Today I read an interesting post by an author. It's by J. Scott Savage. I read one of his books and thought it was pretty good. when that happens, and if I like the author, I will follow their blog. In this case Savage happens to be LDS, so I also like to follow him, due to his great writing comments and clean background.

Back to my original point in posting this. His most recent post was called "The Good, the Bad & the Ugly of Nanowrimo". Starting Tuesday I'm gonna brave Nano and write 50K words in November. So naturally as the National Novel Writing Month is coming to a start many people are writing about it.

Savage talked about the reasons why it could be good and why Nano is also not the best.
His main point is taking different kinds of people and authors and putting them in the Nano position. Some people can't force a novel (Or 50 K) in a month. Some can. Some can just sit and write 2,000 words per day for a month and finish quickly. So depending on who you are, Nanowrimo can be either, very great, or very bad and ruining of your writing. Because as Savage says, "Quantity does not always equal quality". So true.

I found the post very interesting, if you are thinking about doing Nano I would suggest you read it. Or if you are even a writer.
