So now after about a month and a half you finally get to learn about girls camp. It was really fun. This year's theme was Sky-High Academy: Superheroes-In-Training. This was my second year at camp. Our Camp goes to Camp Lehi(one owned by our church). It's 45 min. to an hour away from where I live.
Anyway, so on Monday I met at my church building with all the other Young Women in my ward that were going. WE arrived at Camp around 10ish. My years leader was Sister Terilyn Karren. She is in the Saratoga ward. She is SO AWESOME. If I haven't mentioned it, my Girls Camp si really small compared to most. 30-40 girls. My year had 5. I know. Crazy. But we are all good friends and have tons of fun together. The Girls in my group(excluding me) were, Maddie Johnson, Makenzie Larson, Meagan Benensohn and Elaine Hulme. My year's name was THE POWERPUFF GIRLS (each year is given a name which goes with the camp theme).
Another thing about Camp is that the 5th years are called JC's. JC stands for Junior Counscellor. One or two of them are assigned to each of the years below them. They teach devotionals, certification and first aid. They stick with their year, do their hike w/them and so forth. But they do have their own dinner table. Some things they do by themselves. So my JC's were Alyssa Orton and Natasha Dalton. They were awesome!
I had a really fun camp. Here are some of the of the things we did:
-Hike
-Fashion Show
-Dinner Cookout
-First Aid
-Certification
-Secret Sister
-Drums Alive
-Bebe guns
-Archery
-Paintball
-Game Night
-Talent Show
-Crafts
Plus Tons of other fun stuff...........................................that I don't have time to talk about. Pictures coming soon!!!!

More Books
Hi! Sorry, I haven't posted anything lately. I am working on a few posts right now. But anyway, here are some of the books I've recently read(more like a month ago).
Chords of Strength
This was an auto-biography by David Archuleta about his experience through his music career. It was really good. I never knew much about him, except that he was an American Idol star, LDS, and that his music was really good. I thought it was really interesting. His family is really musical. Goes way back in his family. One of his sisters is even named Jazzy. Well, I thought it was really good book.
The Last Hunt...
was the last book in a series I have been reading. It's called 'The Unicorn Chronicles' (by Bruce Coville). It is a good fantasy series. I LOVED the 4th because it was HUGE. 600 + pages!!! Yeah. Only one major point bothered me. I didn't like how....................I can't tell you (such a disappointment, I know).
The Hourglass Door
by Lisa Mangum
This was an okay book. A bit weird. But it was an interesting and creative story. Not much to say here.
The Mother-Daughter Book Club by Heather Vogel Frederick
This is a really good series! There are 3 books so far, the 4th comes in February. It's about these girls and their moms who start a book club. And they read a book every school year. I thought it was great. The 3 books are:
1-The Mother Daughter book Club
2-Much Ado About Anne
3-Dear Pen Pal
#4(Pies & Prejudice) is coming in September.
I really have enjoyed it. I think any girls would like it. It's a really fun series.
Chickens in the Headlights
This was a very funny book about a Mormon family w/7 boys. It was written by the second oldest boy, Matthew Buckley. I really enjoyed this book! It was hilarious and entertaining.
Those are some of the books I have enjoyed. I think you will too.

An Attempt at Proffesional Photography
In our Stake, we meet as a stake for mutual. That means that mutual is held at stake level. On the first Wednesday of the Month we have Ward Mutual. This last one, we went to Rancho San Antonio. Brother Grover, a professional photographer, came to teach us a couple tips. Then we took pictures. Above are some of my best and favorites.
Notes:The Girl in the Grass is my friend Maddie Johnson.
The Bug in the above picture. Is HUGE. It resembles a big Bee and ant. It was really neat.

(The Lady who did this ride was really funny and kept giving jokes. There was a Big snake(forgot the name, started with a 'P') and she said, "Oh no it's a man-eating __snake__! But, ladies, don't worry, it's a man- eating __snake__ so we're safe!")

Disneyland Trip Part 2: Disneyland!
So on Tuesday we woke up SO EXCITED( you can't imagine). I mean we've waited to go for a long time. And now we got to go. I thought it was an awesome dream. We rushed through breakfast and getting ready so we could head over to stand in line. We waited for about a 1/2 hour(it seemed like an infinity). Then, the gates opened! We got in and didn't go anywhere.
Just kidding. We went and got in line to be let into the park. We were sort of in the middle of the Main Street USA. FINALLY they opened the gates. The first ride I went on was Dumbo. I know. But Dad and Adam had gone to get Fast Passes( see Glossary at the bottom) for Indiana Jones, so I took Laurel. I tell you, that girl is taking after her big sister(yours truly). She loves all the kind of rides I like. anyways so then we went thought Fantasy a bit. We rode, Teacups and that stuff. Then as a family, we went on It's A Small World. That was one cool ride. It's a boat ride that longer than the wait(that's what you want)! You go through many rooms seeing singing puppets dressed up as people from around the world. It was really cool. Loved it! Thus went the day, from ride to ride. Here are some rides I really enjoyed; Pirates of the Carribean, Autopia, Indiana Jones Adventure, Matterhorn Boblsleds, Splash Mountain, & SPACE MOUNTAIN. Space Mountain is THE BEST ride! It really makes you feel like you are flying in space. It is commonly known as a roller coaster in the dark. It is. sort of. There are stars(aka lights that look like stars). It looks and feels like space. It is awesome. Here are some of my siblings favorites.
Adam-Indiana Jones & Space Mountain
Mackenzie & Jamie: Haunted Mansion & Pirates of the Carribbean.
anyway, We had a really fun time at Dineyland. All of the above is the summary. I could talk forever(not only about Disneyland). IF you have other questions just leave a comment. I would love to share. Well, Part 2 1/2 will have the Pictures, so check back soon!
Love, Hannah!

Fast Pass- a ticket that lets you skip the regular lines and go to the front. This is very helpful for Space Mountain, Indiana Jones, & Splash Mountain.

Mormon Helping Hands

Hey! So my mom also did a post on her blog, but what's wrong with duplicates? So on May 8th Stake all over California went to help clean up parks all over California. I went with dad to Sanbourn Park. We helped get rid of a really invasive plant. Okay, I have NO IDEA what it's called. Believe me. But it's a pretty yellow plant(yeah we wiped out all the pretty stuff). Since the plants can be small with HUGE roots, we used this awesome root puller tool. It REALLY WORKS. Here are some pictures.

The True Story of 'The Little Red Hen' - Part 2
I have finally decided to share the last part of 'The Little Red Hen'. So here it goes. Part 1 here.
Part 2
Little Red Hen finished grinding the wheat. Now it was time to mix the dough. She decided that maybe hwe friends would like helping with that. So Hen called up Pig. "Hello Pig."
"Oh hi Hen."
" Pig, I was wondering if you would like to help me mix the dough for bread. I have a great......."
"No thanks Hen, I was, uh, just getting ready to go, uh, mudding with Piglet. Bye Hen!"
So Hen called Duck. "Hi Duck. I thought you might like to help me....."
"Uh, sorry Hen but I've got to study for my diving class. "
"Oh, okay. How do you do that?"
"Sorry, Hen but I've got to go."
So Hen tried to call Goose and Cat. But Goose was going to her quilt club, and Cat was going to the fair.
"Very well," said Hen, " I will do it myself." So Hen mixed and kneaded the dough herself. Now it was time to shape the loaves. She knew that Cat loved doing that, so she called up Cat.
"Hello Cat, back already? Must not have been very good."
"Yeah."
"Well I know that you enjoyed shaping the loaves, so I thought you could come and help me."
"Well thanks very much Hen! but, I've got quite a busy schedule, and I just dropped home to get something before my Fishing Frenzy class. So you see I can't help right now. I'm awfully sorry."
"Alright Cat." None of her other friends could help either. Hen didn't know why. They were NEVER this busy. Hen was so distracted with her thoughts that she accidentally shaped a loaf to big and didn't even notice. Hen set the bread on the stove to rise.
After half an hour of rising time, she returned to find a HUGE loaf that was starting to go over the edge! Oh no! thought Hen. But despite the large loaf, into the oven the bread went. The smell of the baking bread wafted out of Hens open window down to Pig, Duck, Goose and Cat. All of Hen's friends ran down to Hen's house. Hen saw them coming just as she was pulling the loaves out of the oven and said, "Now, who will help me eat the bread?"
"I will!" said Pig.
"I will!" said Cat.
"I will!" said Duck.
"I will!" said Goose.
"No thanks." said Hen. " I will eat it myself..
And she did.
"Oh hi Hen."

Family Trip Tradition
One of our favorite traditions is that at one of our last stops we get 'Dibs'. Dibs are really yummy treats. They are little bite-sized vanilla ice cream balls with a crunch coating. They are nice treats for when it's hot and you don't have time to stop for ice-cream. They are also not very messy(except on a 2-year old who is also my partner in the car, and you know what that means). But overall, they are delicious! I suggest that if you ever find yourself of family in hot place and in need of refreshment, you might just want to try some Dibs!
