Happy Mothers Day Mommy Dearest
Happy Mothers Day to Mommy Dearest! (and to all the other moms, aunts, and grandmas I know.)
This mothers day we combined forces(Well Dad and I) and got mom a Double-Sided Deep Belgium Waffle Iron. D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!!! She loves it. We had it Belgium Waffles for dinner.
I love you mom. You do so much for me and my siblings, much more than I could ever list. Thanks for everything. I love you.

The Scarlet Pimpernel - My review
The Scarlet Pimpernel by Emmuska OrczyMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
A mysterious and daring Englishman who rescues royals and nobility from being Killed by Madame Guillotine. He is only known as the Scarlet Pimpernel.
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!! OH AN EPIC READ. I really like Margarete's POV. I had seen the movie before hand so I know the story but this was better and I still was on the edge of my seat....not literally. It's full of page-turning suspense, romance, humor, adventures, and MORE. It's bursting with flavor and spice. (Don't ask about the sudden cooking reference)
A tale EVERYONE is sure to enjoy.

Oh the Irony!
Some of you may recall my post entitled "A Comment For Your Thoughts." Sadly it never had the desired results. But that is not the object of this post (to reprimand you for not commenting). Instead I am going to share some irony which is linked to this post.
In the comment for your thoughts post I laid before you some random tidbits of strange things I was thinking of. One of them was: When posting and you drift off, Dots are often used(..........................) though they aren't really necessary. I mean people don't even read them they just skip to the stuff. It's a waste of time.
If you will look at the post below this one: "Help.............Suggestions........HELP!" you will see the great irony. The irony is I say that dots are a waste of time...and yet here I am using them like 6 times in a post.....

So................If you have any cool or awesome titles that would make a awesome blog titles...............PLEASE SHARE! I've got a few but ideas would help.

My two Cents on the Scout Fundraiser....................
Okay so my mom already did a post on THIS. But I feel like I should put in my two cents. :D
So basically the Spaghetti Dinner is the annual Stake Scout Fundraiser. Usually the Young Women join with the scouts so that they can earn money for Girls Camp. But this year the Young Women did not get included. We have some fundraiser later....that is unknown. :D Anyway. But this year Adam participated for the first time. So did Kyle.
Okay, really quick detour. Kyle Chung is in our ward. His mom went to China for 3 weeks, so he is staying with us. His school is just down the street so he walks there and is gone during the day. He is a couple months older than Adam...
Back to the Spaghetti dinner. So it's a dinner. Where they serve Spaghetti (in case you didn't pick that up earlier). I don't really like Spaghetti a ton, and this kind wasn't the best. There are also Cake Auctions. Some are silent (paper bidding). The other is live. That one is usually the best of all the cakes. Anyway, you always wanna make it up to the stage for the Live one. (they go for the highest price) :D So below are the cakes that Adam and Kyle made.

Soul Surfer
So I'm gonna review the Soul Surfer book and movie.
BOOK
The book Soul Surfer was really good. I read this before I saw the movie and I totally devoured it. It was really interesting. For those of you not familiar with the story, it's about Bethany Hamilton. Bethany is a pro surfer. In 2003, when she was 13 she was attacked by a 13ft. Tiger Shark and lost her arm. It's her story. She wrote this book a year after and it's basically introducing her life, what happened before and after the attack, how people reacted, and how she got back on the surf board. She is a great surfer despite her arm loss. It's truly an amazing story. She's Christian and she really tells how she trusted in God and she was able to overcome her obstacles. I highly recommend this. My mom and I both read this book and thought it was great. It wasn't a hard read. Fairly easy, but still worthwhile and great.
MOVIE
I think that the movie was a very good portrayal of the book. They did a really good job. They did not over dramatize the attack. It was not gruesome or gory or descriptive. They simply showed how it was and it was totally fine. Yes, they did leave some things out. But most movies do. But the things they did leave out were a bit minor and there for inconsequential. I think they added one or two things, but what movie doesn't? Overall, this was a good movie.

A Poem of Complete Nonsense....
Sometimes on occasion I'll compose a poem or some song lyrics. Yesterday I was showering. I didn't want to get my hair wet so I was experimenting with using Shower Caps instead of just pulling back me hair. And because of this I just started making up a poem..........about Shower Caps. It is quite silly, but I post it for your enjoyment.

Snow Trip
So on Friday we drove up to Sonora/Twain Harte area. We were gonna have a small snow vacation. It was at a cabin with another family in our stake who we know pretty well. After we all arrived and settled in those who wanted to headed for Dodge Ridge. It's a nearby place that well was good I guess.
It wasn't like a steel hill. It was more a wide, icy, flatter place. But if you went far enough up and started down, you could build up TONS OF SPEED. WOWO. It was totally fun. We had like one -2 hours of play then headed back for the cabin as the snow began to pick up.
It snowed that day and night. It was like having a White Christmas in March By the next morning 1-2 feet of snow had added to the already low level. We spent the first part of the morning sleeding, but when the snow plow came through we headed to pack. Mainly because we don't have any snow tires/chains, or 4 wheel drive on the Van. We left roughly an hour later, and were very lucky to get out. If we had left any later, we would have been snowed in for another day at least. Not fun.
It was a short but fun trip. Sorry this report it crazy late.
